Magdalene Hospitality House

Magdalene Hospitality House provides a safe and secure haven for families visiting their loved ones incarcerated in the Federal Corrections facility in Cumberland. Many families travel great distances and neither have the funds to rest at local hotels nor to hire transportation to drive the distance between the city of Cumberland proper and Mexico Farms where the prison is situated. Families stay for one or two nights at the Magdalene Hospitality House and will be served nutritious breakfasts and dinners free of charge. Given prior notice, volunteers will meet families at the local bus and railroad stations and will also transport families to the prison for visiting hours on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. Families will be treated with respect at all times and their privacy always preserved.
