  • Gracious and loving God, we thank you for sending your life-giving Spirit to dwell with us in the community of Emmanuel Parish; infuse us with passion for worship of you, and for service to the greater community of Cumberland and beyond. Give us wisdom and perseverance in being a mutually supportive, inviting and inclusive congregation; and help us in all things to follow the example of him whom we call “God with us,” even Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray.

    Amen

Welcome

Emergency Notice for Sunday Service on January 19, 2025

There is a winter storm warning in place for Sunday, January 19.

Based on the predicted snow levels in Cumberland and the fact that Fr. Scott can get in from Cresaptown, we are going to offer both 8 AM and 10 AM services as usual.

We encourage everyone to use extreme caution in deciding whether it is safe for you to attend church tomorrow. You will have the option of watching the 10 am service on Facebook or (later) YouTube.

Please be safe!

Sunday services include an 8 am Holy Eucharist I service and a 10 am Holy Eucharist II with choir. Thursday healing service is at noon.

Find recorded Sermons, Gospel Lessons, Comforting Words and Music anytime here and many more on our YouTube channel (see the links at the bottom of the page).
